The Middle Office Trade Processing and Position team is responsible for systems that process trade executions and aggregate, and stream positions to middle office trade matching and settlement systems. These systems support a wide range of financial products ranging from equities, fixed income, derivatives, and credit. The team is global with personnel and service providers located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to lead the Trade Processing team within the Middle Office space in our Warsaw office. You will also lead a growing team of developers and will be responsible for managing priorities and guiding the team through the development, maintenance, and modernization of our technology platform.

• Create and guide development initiatives, technology / people / process strategy and transformation programs.
• As the primary point of contact with business clients, help enhance Technology’s relationship with stakeholders.
• Deliver and create programs to modernize and scale the position keeping platform through technology upgrades, cloud technology adoption, and re-architecting business processes

What’s required

• 8+ years of experience in Java /J2EE
• 4+ years of financial services industry experience, preferably in trade processing
• 2+ years of experience working with Spring Framework
• 2+ years of management experience
• 3+ years of JMS or any messaging platform
• Strong SQL experience
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of improving the stability and scalability of platforms and simplifying technology
• Expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (Agile) and software development tools
• Commitment to Test Driven Development
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
