What you will be doing

This is an exciting time to join Breathe. Having proven the value of our products in both the automotive and consumer electronics spaces, we are scaling our Battery Team. Working at our state-of-the-art, 7,500+ square foot laboratory in London (the largest battery testing facility in the city), you will collaborate with our product development team, to deliver and improve our technology.

Your day to day

  • You will drive meaningful outcomes for both Breathe and our customers
  • Work collaboratively with product teams in a kind and conscientious manner
  • Utilise your knowledge of lithium ion cells to improve experimental procedures
  • Ability to implement chemistry safety procedures including CoSHH and risk assessments
  • Basic programming in Matlab is a plus but not essential

Your background 

  • Masters degree in chemistry, engineering, or other relevant subject or equivalent
  • Previous hands-on experience in chemical and electrochemical experiments in a glovebox
  • Knowledge of cell chemistry and working mechanisms of lithium-ion batteries
  • Ability to implement chemistry safety procedures including CoSHH and risk assessments
  • Basic programming in Matlab is a plus but not essential
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively with other departments in a kind and conscientious way
