Description:
· Strong knowledge of fundamentals of networking
· As a Global Network Core Services Engineer, you will be responsible for Food and Beverage's Enterprise routing, switching, LAN, WLAN and Security environment. This role will be required to work globally with diverse resources internally and externally through third party vendors. The ultimate goal for this Network Engineer is to become a trusted partner within our engineering team through the delivery of excellent customer service and knowledge that will allow our business partners to grow. This opportunity will have excellent visibility with our engineering department, will partner with BIS Network Architecture, and will provide potential for moving into more senior levels of responsibility in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create designs, documentation, and test cases to implement new network services and strategies, directions, and plans for the global network engineering team that need or exceed business requirements.
· Analyze all aspects of the current enterprise network environment, recommend and provide enhancements to existing network systems and services, define the return on investment, and implement these improvements using accepted change control methodology and processes.
· Research and identify technology opportunities and their application to the business. Will be required to analyze packet captures and identify issues and implement solutions.
· Test and evaluate new technologies by participating in customer proof of concept with various technology vendors
Past Job Experience:
8+ years of experience in network engineering, design, deployment experience, and support for complex multi-site global enterprise networks.
· Expertise with MPLS (design, deployment, best practices and topology)
· Expertise with METRO Ethernet (design, deployment, best practices and topology)
· Expertise with BGP & EIGRP
· Experience with Data Center LAN design and implementation
· Experience with Wireless LAN design and implementation - 802.11
· Experience with Firewall, VPN and Network Access Control
· Experience with QoS, Multicast, Video and Voice
· Experience with 3rd party vendor and service provider management
Education:
Required - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or equivalent job experience (6 to 8 years of data network design, planning and support experience) preferred.
· Required - CCIE or equivalent technical certifications for multiple network technologies.
· Proficient with Microsoft office products including Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point.
