Position Overview
The Fibroscan Technologist is responsible for performing non-invasive liver elastography (FibroScan®) procedures to assess liver health. This role involves working directly with patients, using specialized equipment to provide valuable information about liver stiffness and fat content, which can aid in diagnosing and monitoring liver conditions. The technician will work closely with healthcare providers and clinical teams to ensure high-quality imaging and accurate data collection while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
What You'll Be Working On
· Work closely with the Principal Investigator and clinical trial coordinating team to execute study protocols and perform delegated study procedures to support site compliance with study protocols.
· Study-specific laboratory procedures, standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Quality (QA/QC) procedures, OSHA guidelines, and other state and local regulations as applicable.
· Attends and participates in meetings with the director and other management.
Role Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Certification as a medical technician, sonographer, or related field preferred.
· Previous experience in liver elastography, ultrasound, or other diagnostic imaging techniques is highly desirable.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and research staff.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of detail, accuracy, and patient safety.
· Willingness to complete vendor-provided training and certification programs for operating FibroScan® equipment.
· Experience or familiarity with clinical research protocols, data collection, and the clinical trial process is a plus.
· Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and upholding ethical standards in both clinical and research settings.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
· Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and ability to document accurately and efficiently.
· Knowledge of safety, infection control, and PPE protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and a clean, sterile work environment.
· Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
· Critical thinker and problem solver.
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
· You must have the authorization to work in the US for any employer.
· Care Access is unable to sponsor work, either now or in the future.
· Must be able to travel with 24–36-hour notice.
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
1. Licensed/Certified Fibroscan® technologist with at least 3+ years of clinical experience
2. Clinical Practice Experience Desired with Hepatic Imaging Skillset
