Having started as a family business, it now employs around 1300 staff and has over 600 sites, Our client's reputation is based on a strong emphasis on sustainability and care for its people.</p><p>Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic, committed, proactive, flexible candidate for an exciting job opportunity as a <strong>Cleaning Area Supervisor around Scotland mainly Edinburgh with visits to Glasgow </strong>and we need to ensure you are able to also cover these areas:</p><p>Stirling</p><p>Falkirk</p><p>Cumbernauld</p><p>Motherwell</p><p>Livingston</p><p>Bathgate</p><p>Airdrie</p><p>Broxburn</p><p>Linlithgow</p><p>Dunfermline</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Why work for our client?</strong><br><br>Our client is a friendly, multicultural business where everyone is welcome;<br>Ongoing training on site and specialised training when required for your role;<br>Every month Cleanology promotes Cleaner, Supervisor and Day Cleaner of the Month with a certificate of achievement and £20 voucher;<br>We offer Free basic English classes to help the staff with no or very basic English skills to start building their English communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues;<br>Career progression opportunities – if you prove yourself and go above and beyond, the sky is the limit with our career ladder!<br>We offer a Family Day party for all staff where everyone can enjoy a few drinks and nibbles with family, friends, and colleagues, and who knows, make more friends!<br>If you are looking for a new exciting and challenging job opportunity, Cleanology is the Company for you!<strong><br><br>About the role: </strong></p><p><strong>PURPOSE</strong><br><br>Support Area Operations Managers and Regional Operations Directors<br>Carry out specialist cleans, such as carpet cleaning (training provided)<br>Cover emergencies, such as absent cleaners<br>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br>Cover in the event of an emergency<br>Manage and arrange teams on jobs<br>Assist with starting up new contracts<br>Manage a team of around 10 cleaners<br>Report to an operational director<strong><br><br></strong></p><p><strong>SITES</strong><br>- Proactively visit sites, spot-checking for cleaning standards, staff attendance, uniforms<br>- Check cleaning cupboards for stock and place orders as required<br>- Check cleaners’ attendance for the payroll department and report absences/changes<br>- Start up new sites – arrange cleaning equipment, supplies, and cleaners<br>- Meet the staff on site to train them, as directed by your line manager<br>- Arrange cleaners for one-off cleans and check cleaning standards after work is finished<strong><br><br></strong></p><p><strong>TYPES OF JOBS</strong><br><br>· Carpet cleaning<br>· Hard floor cleaning/polishing<br>· Handyman<br>· Window cleaning<br>· Jet washing<br>· Deep / builders’ cleaning<br>· Event cleaning<br>· Upholstery cleaning<br>· IT cleaning<br>· PAT testing<br>· Delivering supplies</p><p><strong>REPORTS</strong><br><br>· Sign off one-off wage forms for the payroll department<br>· Report all staff changes (absence, starters, leavers, etc) to the payroll department· Attend monthly meetings<strong><br><br>REQUIREMENTS</strong><br><br>· Highly proactive, flexible, enthusiastic, and pragmatic delivery-orientated approach with ‘can do’ attitude<br>· Excellent planning, organizational and prioritisation skills<br>· Able to work autonomously, and comfortable with rapid change, as well as working as part of a wider team<br>· Excellent telephone manner<br>· IT literate (MAC and PC) – good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer<br>· Previous cleaning industry experience required (3+ years)<br>· Excellent presentation skills<br>· Competent levels of planning and organization<br>· Numeracy and literacy to a good level<br>· Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise<br>· Good interpersonal skills<br>· A strong work ethic<strong><br>· Full UK driving license (held for minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points)</strong><br><br>Are you a Cleaning Area Supervisor based in Edinburgh/Glasgow Scotland?
