<p>Kongiwe are seeking a dynamic and motivated Financial Manager to join our team. The Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing, developing, and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental consulting, engineering, or similar sectors, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights that align with the company’s vision and mission.<br></p><p><strong>Location: </strong><strong></strong>Bryanston, Sandton, South Africa<br></p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Financial Planning, Management, and Analysis:</strong><br></p><ul> <li>Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.</li><li>Perform financial analysis, identifying key trends, variances, and providing recommendations for improvement.</li><li>Monitor and report on project financials, ensuring costs are within budget and profitability is maximised.</li><li>Manage Payroll and VAT.</li><li>Compile invoices and ensure they are processed by clients.</li><li>Further develop and implement financial systems, including procurement, and management of debtors, and creditors.</li><li>Develop and maintain robust financial policies and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance and promote financial best practices across the business.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Reporting:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Provide regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial health.</li><li>Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.</li><li>Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.</li><li>Be the Public Officer for the SARS and oversee tax reporting and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Cash Flow and Financial Risk Management:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Manage company cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial sustainability.</li><li>Implement financial risk management strategies to mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, interest rates, and other market factors.</li></ul><p><strong>Project Financial Manager:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Oversee the financial management of environmental and engineering consulting projects, ensuring proper budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.</li><li>Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payments in accordance with company policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance and Governance:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements in South Africa.</li><li>Work closely with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.</li></ul><p><strong>Team Leadership:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Develop and mentor a small team of financial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.</li><li>Provide training and development to enhance the financial literacy of other departments and project teams.</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES</strong></p><ul><li>Strong leadership and team management capabilities.</li><li>Ability to understand and contribute to the financial aspects of environmental consulting projects.</li><li>Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term international growth and financial sustainability. </li><li>Knowledge of transfer pricing tax regulations will be advantageous.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br></p><ul><li>Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA(SA), or equivalent qualification mandatory).</li><li>10-15 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.</li><li>Experience in environmental consulting, sustainability, or related industries is highly advantageous.</li><li>Strong understanding of South African and International accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Excel).</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul></ul> •
