As a Senior Legal Counsel located in Germany or the Netherlands, you will play a critical role in shaping Caseware’s long-term global legal framework. With your passion for technology, software, compliance, and privacy, you will support impactful business initiatives and contribute to the company’s mission to redefine the future of fintech.

What you will be doing:

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
Provide legal guidance on compliance, finance, sales, and security matters, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Ensure GDPR compliance and collaborate on the creation and implementation of privacy policies and procedures.
Offer expert advice on technology law, intellectual property, and software licensing to support SaaS and cloud initiatives.
Develop scalable legal risk management processes and provide mentorship to junior team members.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships across departments to drive alignment.
Interpret company policies and provide strategic, actionable legal advice aligned with business goals.

What you'll bring:

Qualified lawyer in Germany (member of the Rechtsanwaltskammer) with Zweites Staatsexamen or a comparable qualification obtained abroad.
Expertise in GDPR, data protection, and regulatory frameworks with strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Several years of legal experience, with a preference to take on significant responsibility.
Business acumen, with the capacity to understand complex legal challenges in the context of the company's objectives.
Emotional and mental flexibility, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
A proactive approach, exhibiting a sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and outcomes.
Proficiency in German, English and Dutch is preferred.
