Sr. Software Engineer, UI/UX

We are searching for a Sr. Software Engineer, UI/UX to join our PreSonus Software team located in Hamburg/Germany. You will be part of a team bringing new products and features to market focused on personalization for creators at every level. You will represent the voice of UX, UI, creative, design and innovation. A strong advocacy for user-centered design is a must. You will collaborate with product managers, cross-functional stakeholders, and engineers to define, design, develop and deploy new experiences.

Essential Functions:

• Work with the UI team lead and other members of the development team to design and develop our cross-platform application software
• Designing / improving and implementing the user interfaces of our application software, instruments, and plug-ins
• Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide UI/UX design concepts and guidelines
• Communicate closely and continuously with the development and QA groups, as well as product management
• Establish and push design exploration, R&D and experimentation through rapid prototyping and testing
• Execute against KPI’s with the product and design teams

Qualifications:

• Degree in Graphics Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar education
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in user interface design and development
• Proficiency with pixel and vector design tools (Photoshop, XD, or similar)
• Working experience with UI definition languages (HTML/CSS, or similar markup)
• Object-oriented programming skills are a plus 
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Background in music production and audio technology, as well as knowledge of music production software and software instruments is a benefit
