The Work You'll Do:

The Solution Architect, Global Tax Determination will play a critical role in supporting Sovos’ go-to-market organisation by engaging with the Sovos customers to ensure global tax determination compliance across their IT environments. This position combines the expertise of a Sales Engineer, requiring deep knowledge and understanding of global tax determination requirements, with the role of a white-board techno-functional specialist dedicated to guiding customers through their journey to integrate Sovos solutions into their IT infrastructure. 

More specifically you will:

• Provide domain expertise relating to the integration of external tax determination solutions into leading ERP’s used by Sovos customers. Primary ERP’s include SAP S/4 HANA and Oracle Cloud.
• Primary responsibilities will require deep expertise of the Sovos Global Tax Determination solution, focused on expert-level knowledge of integration requirements across vibrant and evolving customer requirements.   
• Actively lead the client discovery process to help uncover unforeseen challenges across the indirect tax spectrum as addressed by Sovos solutions and ensure the proper Sovos integration offering is being proposed across disparate enterprise software systems and applications.  Lead and participate in technical discussions, providing expert guidance on integration best practices and strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration workflows.
• Continuously collaborate with peers and SMEs in Product Management and other teams to ensure knowledge transfer among Indirect Tax product families, including participation in cross-functional processes to identify opportunities for tighter integration between determination, e-invoicing/CTC and filing data, workflows, and technologies.
• Work closely with global Strategic and Enterprise sales teams to evangelise and present Sovos solutions as part of customers ERP transformation projects.  Ensure Sovos technical integration options align with customer’s functional business processes and global compliance requirements.
• Assist in the creation of compelling and RFP and RFI responses for global Fortune 1000 pursuits.
• Lead the creation of SRD and SDI materials to support the proper scoping and deployment of Sovos Global Tax Determination solution across a global customer base
• Work closely with the Sovos Professional Services or external implementation partner teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sales execution to successful on-boarding of new clients 
• Maintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities, conducting internal sales department training, external partner engagement, demonstration system preparation and customer-facing POC’s.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and software integration, with a focus on SAP or Oracle.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture and data modelling
• Progressive experience in solution or sales engineering of technology platforms or suites 
• Presenting and selling to Executive level prospects and clients; excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Specific global tax determination, technology and global regulatory knowledge and experience  
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic rapidly changing environment  
• Strong project management skills including follow through and ability to see projects to completion without significant oversight required    
• Ability to take a concept, internalise it, rally others around, drive its implementation, and identify ways to continuously improve it              
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug screen upon hire
