About the role
As a Senior Telecommunication Engineer, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, software deployment, configuration, migration, testing, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with customers to ensure planning and timing, address potential issues, and foresee traffic impacts, while also creating and presenting Method of Procedure (MoP) documents to provide a clear vision of upcoming events. Your role includes software and signaling configuration testing before installations or traffic migrations and driving customer-side activities in coordination with end MNO representatives.
Additionally, you will guide MNO engineers on best practices for maintaining and troubleshooting and provide comprehensive support for all signaling-related components to ensure the functionality and reliability of network elements.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible to the whole lifecycle of the project such as project planning, software deployment, configuration, migration, testing and troubleshooting phase of ESC product
- You will be closely working with a customer on every project stage to closely follow the planning and timing of the project but also to align on the potential issues and foresee the traffic impact in case of any
- You will be involved into the software testing and signaling configuration testing before every new installation or traffic migration to prevent any unexpected behavior during the activities on the live node
- As a part of migration activities, you will be responsible to create MoP (A method of procedure) and present it to the customer with a clear vision of the upcoming event
- You will be driving all the activities from customer side in front of the end MNO representative and guiding the counterpart from the MNO side in case of any request for help or configuration change requests on the newly installed node in the network
- You will be responsible to provide a knowledge sharing to MNO engineers as a best practice on how to work/maintain/troubleshoot on the ESC
- As a support engineer, you are responsible for all signaling related components as part of STP, MNP, EIR, ADC and other products
- You will assure customer support for all signaling related products and provide dedicated support of network elements/features/functions
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer sciences, IT, Telecommunications or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in operation of mobile or fixed networks as an engineer
- You are familiar with Telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI standards
- Knowledge of 2g,3g,4g networks setups and core components, interfaces, and connectivity
- You have good knowledge about the SS7/Sigtran, LTE, signaling call flows and roaming scenarios
- Working knowledge in designing, deploying, migrating and/or operating network infrastructure
- Experience with TCP/IP network fundamentals
- Experience with Signaling protocol monitoring tools, protocol analysers, trace analysis
- Good operational knowledge of network function virtualization
- Experience in working and administration of Linux systems
- Readiness to travel, and able to work independently
- Fluent in English
