About this role
As the Event Manager on a lean but mighty North America events team, you will be a driving force behind our company’s presences at conferences as well as hosted events that contribute to pipeline creation, expand customer acquisition and grow the Udemy brand, with core focus on the B2B side of the business.The ideal candidate has experience with B2B event programs and a proven track record of successfully partnering with GTM teams to achieve revenue-based goals through integrated event programs.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and execution of event programs across both hosted and 3rd party sponsored events to generate pipeline opportunity for the GTM team in North America
- Partner closely with marketing channels to ensure events are integrated into the overall marketing strategy
- Support the development of new and innovative event experiences to scale our reach and brand exposure across both in person and virtual event programs
- Play a key role in supporting global projects, initiatives and standard operating procedures to drive efficiencies and consistency within our global events team
- Create impactful enablement tools and resources to empower Sales and Customer Success organizations to drive awareness and meet registration goals for event programs - including development of promotional resources
- Evaluate event performance on a regular basis against key metrics; apply changes and learnings to maximize impact for pipeline generation
- Source and manage vendor and agency relationships as it pertains to event planning and execution: vendors, venues, booth partners, design, video and more
What you’ll have
- 3+ years experience in event management, preferable in a fast-paced B2B company with proven experience leading, project managing, and executing large multi-faceted projects
- Incredible organization and project management skills to manage the multiple events tasks, vendors and stakeholders simultaneously across various cross functional event initiatives
- Effective communication skills, the ability to communicate efficiently with internal teams, external vendors, and attendees across the various communication mediums used internally and externally day to day
- Result focused mindset to ensure event objectives are met to support the business goals
- Track record of delivering against KPIs that range from awareness & perception through to adoption, usage, and loyalty
- Love for cross-functional partnering with various business units includingSales, Customer Success, Customer Marketing, Demand Generation, Product Marketing and Content Marketing
- Understanding of accounting / finance and knowledge around event contracts and negotiations
- Able to travel across the US. Estimated 30% travel and preferably comfortable using Salesforce, Splash, Asana, GSuite, Tableau

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
