Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the management, organization, and oversight of all administrative, clinical, and service functions of the clinical staff at our Waukegan location.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical supervisors assuring staff compliance with clinical, administrative, organizational responsibilities including productivity
- Monitor intake trends and make sure the clients are being assigned in a timely fashion
- Provide and document regular scheduled clinical supervision with individual clinicians and case managers
- Monitor and approve Clinical staff work and vacation schedules such that the needs of Josselyn are covered
- Develop and operationalize policies and procedures and train staff for adherence
- Work effectively with other Directors
- Work effectively with community resources and participate usefully in community related activities
- Participate cooperatively in performance improvement activities, committee work, when requested, mandatory in-services, and strategic planning
- Knowledge and operationalization of confidentiality, client rights, safety, infection control, incident
and sentinel event reporting, and personnel policies
Qualifications
- Licensed for independent clinical practice in the State of Illinois in mental health or related field
- Competence in interdisciplinary and inter-agency collaboration
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive and successful clinical management experience preferable with a non-profit organization
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think critically and analytically and to problem solve in both short and long-term contexts
- An understanding of current thinking
