About FutureHouse
FutureHouse is a new, non-profit AI-for-science lab using AI to automate research in biology and other complex sciences. We are backed by Eric Schmidt, and our mission is to build AI systems that can scale scientific research and allow humanity to proceed as quickly as possible to find cures for disease, solutions for climate change, and other species-accelerating technologies.
We are seeking exceptional individuals to expand our Technical Staff. The Technical Staff is the core of the organization, and encompasses all of our researchers and engineers. You should apply to this role if you have a track record of producing extraordinary innovations and technical outputs, but do not fit into any of the other categories. Our team spans wet lab biologists, pure AI researchers, and engineers of all sorts. (If you have both wet lab experience and a track record in AI research, even better!!).
This position is full-time in-person in San Francisco.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conducting Research. The Technical Staff is the core of FutureHouse, responsible for developing new AI systems that can accelerate scientific research. Members of Technical Staff work on small teams organized around major technological innovations and scientific discoveries that we need in order to push the boundaries of science forward.
Position Requirements:
- Independent research experience and a track record of impressive outputs in wet lab biology research, AI-for-science research, or pure AI research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings, articulate insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Ability to organize and execute research projects, set timelines, and manage resources efficiently.
