JOB SUMMARY: The Access Control Technician will be responsible for the security of the Nammo Perry facility and personnel; completing and submitting daily security reports; physically inspecting the company grounds and performing Monthly Security checks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Guard property against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry to the facility

2.                Verify employee and visitor access by scanning and verifying employee badges upon entry and exiting the property

3.                Utilize Microsoft Office programs to create/respond to E-Mail using Outlook, utilize Outlook calendars to verify events taking place onsite

4.                Utilize paging system to announce Range activities, severe weather impacts and to reach personnel onsite

5.      Provide assistance to Human Resources to secure and escort personnel off site when appropriate

6.      Maintain sign-in/sign-out log for visitors; maintain other required security documents as needed

7.      Take badge photos, issue and collect badges.

8.      Notify appropriate departments when visitor have arrived.

9.      Notify designated personnel if problem occurs after normal work day.

10.   Take telephone messages before and after normal work day.

11.   Must keep guardhouse and surrounding area clean and neat at all times.

12.   First responder coverage when necessary

13.   Issue keys with appropriate approval

14.   Perform vehicle inspections.

15.   Verify storage areas are secured as required

16.   Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1.      Must be 18 years or older

2.      Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

3.      Intermediate user experience with Microsoft Outlook

4.      Must have a valid driver’s license

5.      Must be safety and security minded

6.      Must be able to complete First Aid and CPR training for certification

7.      Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

8.      Must be attentive to detail; thorough in completing work tasks

9.      Ability to establish credibility and be decisive

10.   Must possess a strong sense of confidentiality and ethical behavior

11.   Must possess human relations skills, ability to work with others

12.   Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable; fulfilling obligations

13.   Flexibility, ability to perform a wide variety of duties and prioritize those duties

 

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

1.        No experience required; 1 year of security related experience preferred

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:                    

1.      Must be able to submit to and pass a drug test on a random basis.

2.      Must have clear back ground results and submit to background screening

3.      Must have no known hearing loss (may be corrected).

4.      Good vision (may be corrected).

5.      Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.

6.      Must be able to bend and stoop.

7.      Must be able to speak.

8.      Must be able to perform all motions necessary to sweep, mop, rake, shovel or other similar duties.

9.      Must have stamina to work up to 12 hours when needed.

10.   Must be able to reach outward to place or retrieve an item.

11.   Must be able to endure weather extremes.
