Lead In Home Caregiver

Summary

Visiting Angels is looking to hire Lead in-home-care caregivers who are compassionate, reliable, and versatile.  The Lead position is guaranteed forty or more hours per week with a set schedule alternating between 4 days for one week, and 5 days for the following week.  Weekends also alternate. Our Leads work one-on-one with clients in the client’s residence, providing non-medical in-home care.

 

Compensation & Perks

• Starts at $21.50 per hour

Requirements

• 18 years old or older
• Able to pass county, state, national and SSN trace background checks
• Possess and maintain an active WA state NAC or HCA license.  NAC is preferred
• Possess one or more years of home care (or equivalent) experience
• Must be able to speak and understand directions in English
• Able to provide transportation services in personal vehicle, maintain valid driver’s license, maintain sufficient auto insurance, and pass a driving abstract record check
• Able to work in any environment including, but not limited to pets, time of day, political/religious opinions, facilities, and any other environment we provide services in
• Able to perform physical requirements of caregiving for all clients we serve, which include standing, bending, lifting, and twisting

Summary of In-Home Caregiving Responsibilities

• Ambulation assistance
• Transfers, including assist and pivot, gait belt, and Hoyer lifts
• Household chores and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Transportation
• Personal care assistance including toileting, bathing, hygiene and dressing
• Hospice and end of life care
