Trade Desk Specialist, Pragma

The Role

Pragma, a MarketAxess company, is looking for an additional member of its Trade Desk team to focus on North American Equities. Trade Desk personnel are the front-line interface with clients and play a critical role in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The Trade Desk Specialist will be responsible for monitoring all daily equity order flow through Pragma’s execution algorithms, consulting with clients, in-depth order analysis, and investigating all inquiries and customizations related to the algorithms. 

How You'll Help Take Us There

• Manage trading risk by monitoring and analyzing Equities order flow. 
• Become an expert in equity market structure to better service clients with time-sensitive trading issues and inquiries related to trading performance, logic, and suspected problems.
• Manage client requests and algorithmic configurations for Pragma’s clients.
• Work closely with Product and Sales to scale up the business.  
• Opportunity to gain exposure and learn about electronic trading and market structure in other asset classes (Credit, FX and Rates). 

What We’re Looking for  

• 2+ years of experience in Equities electronic trading with a preference for having covered the broker-dealer community.
• Must have FINRA Series 7 & 63 or be able to obtain them within the first three months of joining. 
• Strong attention to detail in both written and verbal communication.
•  Ability to operate efficiently in high pressure situations.
• Ability to empathize and build rapport with clients
• Knowledge of electronic trading in FX, Credit or Rates a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Comp Sci. or Engineering a strong plus).

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $115,000 USD to $160,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
