Position:Sr. Linux Debian Engineer - Mutliple Openings

DESCRIPTION

• Performing migrations from RHEL to Debian (V8 = Jessie).
• Perform daily Admin duties for Debian V7 Wheey, V8 (Jessie, 9 (aka Stretch), 9.7, and exposure to v 10.1 (Buster).
• Help the team design, develop, and maintain automated security compliance content for Linux / Debian operating systems within BMC BladeLogic Solution.
• Provide technical expertise for automation systems in support of OS, patch deployments, configuration changes, compliance reports, and general scripting leveraging BladeLogic.
• Provide Linux technical support to system administrators of Windows, RHEL, Debian, Client-UX, and Solaris Servers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 7 plus years of experience working inUS.
• Must have 2 plus years of recent (Within theLast 4 years) experience working in a Banking or Brokerage environment.
• Must have 10+ years of experience as a Linux RHEL Admin
• Must have 5+ years of recent solid experience as a Debian Admin / Engineer.
• Must have recent experience performing a migration from RHEL to Debian (V = Jessie).
• Must have experience performing Admin duties for Debian V7 (Wheey, V8 (Jessie) and 9 (aka Stretch) and exposure to v 10.1 (Buster).
• Currently working with V8. Eperience with RHEL V4, 5 and 6.
• Must have experience with Debian V 9.7
• Must have extensive experience performing all admin and troubleshooting duties as a Senior Debian Admin on V7 9.7.
• Must have extensive recent experience in administration and developing scripts in UNIX (Client-UX, and Solaris) and Linux (Debian, RHEL, and SUSE).
• Must have an understanding Debian Kernel modification and tuning.
• Must have experience with BladeLogic.
• Experience with Virtualization technologies with VMWare.
• Experience with troubleshooting performance and connectivity issues.
• Must have experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for end-user administrators in a Debian environment.
• Must have experience managing, controlling, and enforcing configuration changes in a large data center environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have effective verbal and written English communications skills.
• Must be able to make sound, timely decisions that have positive impact on the resolution of issues and problems.
• Be well organized self-starter who delivers assigned work on schedule while managing multiple task under minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
