Are you ready to dive into real-world software development? At Hexagon Mining, our co-op students are hands-on team members, not just observers. As part of an Agile development team, you’ll collaborate with professionals to design, develop, and test software that solves real-world problems. This isn’t just a learning opportunity — it’s your chance to contribute to impactful projects while honing your skills in a supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Execute tests and report results, ensuring our applications meet the highest standards.
• Create concise bug reports and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Develop basic test cases with guidance from mentors, and learn complex applications from the end-user's perspective.
• Participate in all workflows and activities, including code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Document testing activities and report progress in tracking tools like JIRA and Confluence.

What We're Looking For:

• Someone who is a junior-level student pursuing a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Has basic understanding of networking setups, especially WIFI.
• Is familiar with programming languages, Azure/Cloud environments, and SDLC.
• Has exposure to Agile software development methods.
• (Bonus) Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows).
• (Bonus) Experience with testing/coding tools like TestRail, Jira, Git, Jenkins, or equivalents.
• (Optional, but awesome) Knowledge of or experience in the mining industry.
