X-Ray Tech - Radiology and Cardiology

As an X-Ray Technician, you will play a vital role in capturing high-quality diagnostic images of patients for both radiology and cardiology purposes. Your expertise will contribute to accurate and timely diagnoses, aiding in patient care and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment for both radiology and cardiology departments.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality images as required by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that images meet the necessary diagnostic standards.
- Review images for quality, ensuring they are clear and suitable for interpretation by radiologists and cardiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to procedures performed.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines to minimize patient and staff exposure.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on X-ray equipment.
- Assist with patient scheduling, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal wait times.
- Provide clear instructions to patients before, during, and after procedures, addressing any concerns they may have.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician.
- Successful completion of an accredited X-Ray Technician program.
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in performing X-ray procedures for both radiology and cardiology purposes.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when capturing and reviewing images.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Willingness to stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques.
