Transport Manager

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Transport Manager to support the Transport team oversee our vehicle fleet operations covering our depot in Glasgow.. The ideal candidate will ensure legal compliance with UK Acts and Statutory Frameworks, manage driver administration, and uphold health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage, audit, and review compliance systems to ensure effectiveness

- Review and address shortcomings, ensuring operator license requirements are met

- Monitor driver administration, including license checks and records maintenance

- Enforce compliance with drivers' hours rules and manage disciplinary processes

- Oversee vehicle administration, including maintenance records and insurance

- Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, defects are promptly addressed, and safety inspections are carried out

- Liaise with contractors, manufacturers, and dealers for vehicle servicing and repairs

Qualifications and Experience:

- Transport Manager CPC + Refresher (5 yearly cycle)

- Experience managing mechanical workshops or work scheduling

- Valid driving license (Cat B – minimum)

- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desirable)

- Previous experience in people management

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
