EKG Technician Full Time 8-Hour Day Shift

Provides routine cardiography on all age groups (from neonate to geriatric, billing, scheduling of cardiology procedures, all related clerical work, prepares transcription of EKG’s, assists physicians with treadmill procedures, performs EKG’s, holters, EEG’s, ordering and inventory of supplies, and participates in Cardiopulmonary equipment cleaning, removal, and processing in down time.

Essential Job Duties:

• Performs electrocardiograms (EKG).
• Performs and assists physicians with treadmill procedures.
• Applies, removes, and scans Holter monitors.
• Performs electroencephalograms (EEG’s).
• Performs all aspects of office management skills, to include but not limited to, scheduling procedures, filing, billing, preparation of Cardiology reports.
• Participates in departmental and/or hospital wide Performance Improvement program to include quality control auditing and event reporting.
• Able to effectively communicate with the clinical team (nurses, physicians, and other related ancillaries), in order to advocate for patient safety and continuity of care.

Education/Experience:

• High school graduate
• Prefer prior experience and completion of EKG certification course.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current BCLS
