ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, an ICT Service Provider firm, is seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer

Our client is a Technology partner of a multinational firm and as an ICT company they provide services and consulting in the areas of Hybrid Cloud, Networks, Integrated solutions for Disaster Recovery and Business Operations

🖋️ You will be reporting to the ICT Director  

What you will do:

As an IT Network Engineer, you will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. With knowledge emphasis on Routing technologies, Firewalls, VPN, and IPS/IDS systems you will join the technology team to support the ongoing growth of the company in the field of ICT solutions and services. The role will include work on operations for internal and customers’ infrastructures, Project Delivery, and occasional presales engagements.

More specifically you will:

• Design and implement operational networks encompassing Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
• Configure and deploy firewalls, routers, and various other network devices
• Monitor the performance and integrity of the network infrastructure
• Resolve escalated issues from support tiers by effectively troubleshooting both cloud and local infrastructure
• Automate tasks and diligently monitor their efficacy
• Provide mentorship to team members on technical matters
• Create, oversee, and test security measures, including access authentication and disaster recovery procedures
• Propose enhancements to network security, performance, capacity, and scalability
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Participate in on call 24/7 and after-hours support when required

Requirements

• A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of practical working experience in design, implementation & support of medium-large scale networking solutions
• Strong skills in Routing Switching incl. BGP understanding, Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, IDS/IPS, SD-WAN deployments
• Strong skills in Wi-Fi infrastructure design and deployment (preferred technologies: Cisco Meraki, Ubiquity)
• Familiarity with vulnerability management methodology
• Experience in networking integration with hypervisors (Hyper-V, VMWare)
• Experience in drafting, deploying, and managing the whole life cycle of security policies
• Strong technical writing and communication skills with an uncompromised customer focus
• Excellent/proved problem solving skills
• Ability to work with all levels of external and internal customers
• Fluency in Greek and English language
• Driving license

Will be highly appreciated:

• Experience in Linux environments, including scripting (eg.  in python)
• Vendor certifications
• ISO 27001 & PCI DSS understanding
