We're looking for a mission-driven Coordinator, Travel Logistics who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.
Your Impact at CNIB
- Respond, research, and consult on all employee business travel inquiries.
- Consult on entry/exit requirements for the destination, including visas and vaccinations and documentation requirements for passengers and guide dogs.
- Provide support for booking special assistance requests for cane users, guide dog handlers, and attendants. This includes communicating directly with carriers to confirm special services.
- Process changes and refund/credit requests
- Produce monthly travel reports.
- Responsible for the financial reconciliation of all bookings including entering, coding expenses into Concur etc.
- Continuously look to improve employees’ experience.
Requirements
Who you are:
Education and Certifications
- Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or relevant field Expertise in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business, group/individual etc.).
- TICO Certification (Travel Industry Counsel of Ontario) in Good Standing.
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of progressive work experience within a corporate travel environment.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with Concur is an asset.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to cooperate with all levels of staff.
- Ability to multitask and provide a high level of leadership skills in time sensitive situations.
- Excited to join a fast-paced team, and experience managing a high volume of requests with fluctuating deadlines and priorities.
- An analytical thinker and problem solver who stays organized while managing multiple assignments.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy.
- Ability to identify solutions and manage competing stakeholder needs.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
Work Environment
- Flexibility in working hours and availability during evenings and weekends in emergencies may be occasionally required.
