Department:  Commercial - Retail Operational Solutions
Reports to: Senior Manager, Global Retail Operations
Location: North Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)

The Operational Solutions team is looking for a Program Manager that is an expert in translating HQ initiatives into retail standard practices, processes, and policies. This role will work directly with Head Office Retail Product and Brand Partners (Design, Merchandising, Allocations, Distribution, Visual Merch, Retail Brand Marketing) to develop standard processes, practices, and principles for our store teams.  You will define in-store processes that support scaling our repeatable models, that enhance the Store Manager responsibilities and amplifies our guest experience. You will be accountable to related to retail product, develop the retail product operating calendar, and act as the main point of contact for Retail HQ. You will also support with the developing retail Initiatives, project management, communication, implementation, and sustainment of retail related initiatives. You are the expert in translating HQ initiatives into retail standard practices, processes, and policies.
 
This is a Hybrid role primarily based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Operational Solutions team defines the ideal conditions for stores to perform at their best. We are the conduit between our retail stores and our cross-functional partners at HQ.  Operations Solutions is responsible for partnering to create clear, concise communications, implement projects, launch initiatives, develop operating frameworks, and define our repeatable model and processes for our stores. We are experts in translating HQ initiatives into the retail voice. 

If you were the Program Manager for Operations Solutions here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Lead meetings with Senior Leadership and Cross Functional partners to define retail product practices, processes and principles
  • Present to key leaders across the company on project progress, risks, issues, actions, and decisions required
  • Optimize our retail standard repeatable model in partnership with Brand and Retail Product HQ teams
  • Prepare regular reports for Senior Leadership on project status, performance metrics, and operational insights.
  • Identify and develop project proposals that enhance retail product operations.
  • Design and deliver methodologies, tools, and processes to support retail product sell-through in partnership with Visual Merchandising, Allocations and Brand teams
  • Design, develop and monitor project progress, deadlines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with key stakeholders
  • Deliver enrollment, communications, and calendar information related to Brand & Retail Product to our retail stores.
  • Document best practices and create new materials to support our store teams on-going operational excellence.
  • Manage project implementation for retail initiatives including change management, pilot planning, communications, rollout and sustainment strategies
  • Analyze retail operations data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful adoption of retail operational changes.
  • Partner with our Retail Training team to design and deliver key training materials to our store teams
  • Facilitating cross functional partnerships between key retail stakeholders
  • Enhancing cross functional relationships between key retail stakeholders and HQ teams

Are you our next Retail Product Program Manager?

  • You have 3+ years work experience within a similar HQ-based role
  • You have 3+ years work experience within a retail store role
  • You have a strong skillset in the full suite of MS Office
  • You have significant experience with technical retail products and in-store retail product processes
  • You have experience managing or delivering large and complex projects in a retail environment
  • You have experience in retail product design, merchandising, allocations or distribution in a retail environment
  • You have led the development, rollout and training of Standard Operating Procedures
  • You have experience presenting to senior leadership
  • You have proven experience in creating a plan and managing against that plan
  • You have demonstrated high emotional intelligence by understanding team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and motivating team members
  • You have provided leadership to project teams, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • You are able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • You are adaptable and forward thinking
  • You are a creative thinker and have a strategic mindset for process improvement.
  • You have a solid understanding of communications, change management and training
  • You are an excellent collaborator and you work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
