Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (Treatment Nurse) 

Job Summary: LVN/Treatment Nurse functions under LVN the scope of practice. Works under supervision as needed by a Registered Nurse, carries out the established plan of care for an assigned group of patients. Uses observation, planning and implementation skills to ensure the performance of direct care activities required to provide and maintain individualized quality patient care. Specific areas of responsibilities include: administration of medications under scope of practice, performance of treatments and gathering of data. Contributing to an individualized plan of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provision of patient education as directed, maintenance of a record of care and ensuring that hygiene and comfort measures are provided. Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.

Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in area of application.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
• A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.

Education:

•  N/A

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current LVN license from the state of employment.
• Basic Life support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA), required.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or equivalent required (AB508 and SB1299).
