Senior Accountant (SaaS Model)Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Senior Accountant with expertise in
cash forecasting and
revenue recognition to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, with a focus on
order-to-cash processes. This role is designed for someone ready to advance into an
Accounting Manager role, offering significant growth potential within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the cash forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the company’s financial goals.
- Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with GAAP and accounting standards.
- Perform account reconciliations, including revenue, deferred revenue, and other key financial accounts.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., IT, sales, and operations) to streamline and improve order-to-cash processes.
- Review contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and resolve any accounting issues.
- Assist with external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support and contribute to the development and implementation of new accounting processes and policies.
- Provide support on ad hoc financial analysis and other projects as needed.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on cash forecasting, revenue recognition, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and order-to-cash processes.
- SaaS industry experience is a huge plus.
- Public accounting experience is highly valued.
- Knowledge of accounting software; NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated, career-oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a plus.
Salary:
Up to $92k base with a
bonus. Candidates aiming for
$100k total compensation are encouraged to apply. •
