Your impact 

The VP of Learning Experience Design (LXD) is a critical leadership role responsible for the design, customization, and delivery of high-impact training experiences for Correlation One’s enterprise and governmental clients. In addition to working directly with clients, this person will lead a team of exceptional Learning Designers and Content Developers and work cross-functionally with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Career Development teams.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional strategic leader with the ability to align high-level strategies and KPIs with thoughtful process design and execution. The VP will oversee content customization and learning experience design for client-specific needs, ensuring that training programs are tailored to align with learner skill levels, industry case studies, and client technologies. The role also requires strong innovation management, ensuring that new ideas are tested, scaled appropriately, and aligned with business goals.

In this role, you will join a stellar leadership team and will be expected to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, meeting ambitious deadlines while fostering a high-performance culture. This role is equal parts hands-on work (e.g. crafting proposals and other client collateral) and driving a lean, agile team that responds quickly to client needs. We are looking for a candidate who excels in environments that require focus and drive, and who finds fulfillment in managing complex challenges and delivering results under pressure. Your efforts will directly influence the scalability and success of our programs across multiple verticals, including enterprise upskilling and reskilling and government-sponsored professional education.

A day in the life

  • Learning Strategy and Customization: Lead the customization of content for training programs, content for stand-alone assessments, and content for competitions/datathons to meet specific client needs, with a strong focus on data literacy learning design. You will serve as a consultative expert during client engagements, ensuring that our curriculum development is aligned with client expectations and goals while advocating for the learner and ensuring learning efficacy. Customization is a central value proposition for our business, and your ability to understand clients’ needs and propose creative learning solutions tailored to address those needs will be critical.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and develop a high-performing team consisting of Learning Designers, Content Developers, and a Content Product Owner, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Ensure that the team is agile, resilient, and responsive to the changing needs of our clients and the broader market.
  • Operational Excellence and Process Optimization: Ensure content is delivered on time, under budget, and with high quality standards while identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. Oversee the implementation of new workflows and automation processes that support content authoring and delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to ensure seamless program execution and alignment with strategic objectives. This includes defining and refining the end-to-end product experience for our data and AI education offerings, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data to drive content development and delivery decisions. Monitor and measure the success of training programs, using insights to refine and improve future offerings.

Your expertise

  • Industry and Domain Expertise: The VP must be deeply informed about the professional upskilling space, regularly consuming and sharing industry insights to improve the quality of our learning experiences. They should possess strong technical acumen and subject matter expertise in data science, AI, and generative AI education, understanding how these technologies impact enterprise training and development.
  • Learning Strategy and Customization: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in consulting with a focus on learning strategy and curriculum development. They should be able to act as a learning strategist, advising clients on cohort and program design, and demonstrating a strong capability to tailor content to meet specific client needs, including the use of assessments to gauge learner skill levels and adjust curricula accordingly.
  • Client Engagement: Proven ability to engage with enterprise clients, understand their needs, and translate those needs into effective, customized learning solutions. Expertise in data literacy learning design and a solid grasp of HR and Learning & Development (L&D) practices are essential. The VP should be able to lead client interactions, gather necessary information for curriculum customization, and ensure that content delivery aligns with client-specific technologies and needs.
  • Innovation and Technology: Strong background in managing educational technologies and driving innovation in content and delivery methods. The VP should leverage technologies to improve learning experiences and operational efficiency, and have experience in product management or developing digital learning platforms.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The VP should maintain high standards in content delivery while seeking opportunities to streamline processes and improve the overall learning experience.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization: Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and content quality, particularly in fast-paced, high-demand environments. Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee complex initiatives from inception to completion, are essential.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: A "can do" attitude, with the ability to proactively address client challenges and ensure the team is responsive to client needs. The VP should be adept at managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that content adjustments and approvals are made swiftly and effectively to meet client expectations.

Where you are

This role is remote and must be compatible with the EST time zone. Candidates located in Canada and the United States are encouraged to apply.  We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, experience, education and skill sets. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $180,000 - $200,000. Please note that the shared range is specific to the United States. The range only reflects the base salary and does not reflect bonus, equity or benefits.
