What will you do?
As a Medical Data Specialist, you will use your technical and healthcare data domain expertise to ensure clinically contextualised terminology is used in databases for health records, clinical decision support tools and health information systems. You will work with technology and product colleagues to enable effective use of clinical data for reporting purposes in our products.
This role reports to the Head of our Medical Data Specialist team.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Work in a team to expand and refine our in-house common data model according to product timelines and business needs.
- Research, experiment, implement and document class-leading terminology standards to be adopted into the system.
- Refine medical data structures to be used in our common data model. Incorporate international standards medical data for interoperability.
- Assist in data verification of NLP output.
- Provide technical and medical data expertise to support external engagements and projects.
- Ensure terminology used within EVYD is compliant with international and local regulations and standards and provide training as necessary.
- Support internal stakeholders by preparing clinical data for various business needs.
- Facilitate engagements with external stakeholders for requirements and feedback gathering and clarification.

Travel requirements
Travel is required for this role (up to 30%).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in medicine sciences, biomedical sciences, clinical informatics, data analytics or other healthcare related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years' work experience in a clinical setting is an added advantage.
