We are an infrastructure manufacturing partner to Hitachi Vantara, LLC 
 

Hitachi Computer Products (America), Inc., located in Norman, Oklahoma, has an immediate opening for a Logistics Operations and Export Manager.  This role will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the transportation and storage of goods to include schedules, documentation, and tracking.  The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining a safe work environment and improving performance and productivity of operational areas while creating organization efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, motivate and lead a team of up to 10 direct reports, with sub reports as well.
  • Utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies and develop optimization strategies
  • Continuous monitoring of customs regulation changes and updating of company policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance
  • Prepare data for submissions and reporting requirements as required for customs filings
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team(s) and devise ways of improving the customer experience
  • Monitor company performance related to compliance, prepare reports for Senior Management, and develop strategic plan to address potential changes to schedules and policies
  • Provide direction and participate in customs compliance internal audits, internal process audits, external vendor audits and prepare customs related documentation as required to ensure continued compliance with current customs regulations
  • Develop and nurture a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication, trust, and mutual respect among team members
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support as well as conduct regular performance discussions, recognizing achievements and addressing any performance issues in a timely and constructive manner
  • Oversees resource requirements in assigned areas to ensure adequate staffing
  • Comply with industry and organizational safety protocols
  • Ensures that project/department goals and milestones align with overall objectives of the organization and drive them to completion
  • Encourage team involvement in improvement initiatives

 Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of import and export regulations, compliance, and supply chain principles and processes
  • Exhibit leadership skills to motivate teams, make decisions, and guide the organization towards operational goals
  • Professional integrity, confidentiality and sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Collaboration skills with a diverse range of individuals in order to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adjust strategies or processes in response to dynamic business environment and unexpected changes
  • Articulate effective written and oral communication skills to convey information, collaborate with teams and interact with stakeholders in a professional setting
  • Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills to make timely, data driven decisions in order to improve operational efficiency
  • Ability to adjust for peak period escalations to include weekends and fluctuating workload during quarter-end
  • Oracle system knowledge and Microsoft 365 system and application proficiency required
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Spanish language ability is a plus
Other Information
  • This position is onsite, Monday through Friday and may require some weekend and peak period work, flexibility is key.
  • Our 72 acre, 352K sq. ft. campus has an onsite fitness center and cafeteria.
  • May require domestic and international travel.
