Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and exceptional VP of Sales to build out and lead our sales organization. This role will help develop Workato’s sales motions and build an execution-oriented team. Workato has a positive and collaborative culture—we look for people who are curious, inventive, smart, hardworking and strive to be a little better every day. In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Promote company products and services

  • Develop plans and strategies

  • Manage sales teams

  • Organize and maintain sales operations

  • Manage sales budget

  • Take charge of recruiting and hiring sales staff

  • Motivate the sales team to achieve workplace goals

  • Develop sales training programs

  • Monitor market and competitor activity

  • Improve customer satisfaction by anticipating customer needs

  • Identify where improvements can be made and develop success-driven plans

  • Manage detailed sales expectations and plan accordingly

  • Work closely with the marketing department

  • Monitor customer activity

  • Create sales reports

  • Communicate and foster relationships with clients

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus

  • 15+ years enterprise software sales experience

  • History of success with various GTM sales motions 

  • Track record of multi million dollar deals

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Positive, strength-based leader

  • Collaborative team player who can lead and dig into the work

  • Experience building teams from the ground up

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, go-getter attitude
