Job Summary:  Reporting to the Body Shop Supervisor or Manager, complete assigned work orders for Paintless Dent Removals, Window Repairs, De-identifying (remove decals), and parts replacements. Complete work safely, efficiently and timely per customer expectations and industry standards.  

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following: 

Provide excellent customer service:

    • Ensure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
    • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and team-oriented attitude.
    • Return customer’s vehicles in clean condition with radios, seats, in original settings.
    • Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise Management of all serious complains or incidences.

Perform work on vehicles:

    • Locate assigned units in staging area.
    • Review Work Orders and identify work on vehicles to be completed.
    • Ensure appropriate parts and tools are available.  Alert supervisor/manager if items are not available or do not match specifications.
    • Wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working.
    • Remove vehicle parts, if necessary, using appropriate power equipment and hand tools.
    • Perform the Paintless Dent Removals using metal rods and glue poles.
    • Replace windshields according to work order and industry standards.

Complete documentation:

    • Record work completed and document any specific concerns or issues.  Submit completed paperwork to Billing Department.

Maintain work station:

    • Ensure all shop area conditions are not a potential threat to employee or customer safety.
    • Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee or customer accidents, injuries, and loss damage to any property.
    • Report all incidents to Supervisors/Managers immediately per auction policy.

Other responsibilities:

    • Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise Management or any needed equipment maintenance or breakdown.
    • Practice and promote teamwork at all times.
    • Set a good example or attitude and performance.
    • Practice and promote company core values.


PDR Tech Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • 3-5 years of previous PDR/Body Tech related experience preferred.
  • Certification from trade school program preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

Physical Working Conditions

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
