Job Description

Work with senior client leadership and stakeholders to define and execute on strategy as well as plans to modernize legacy platform to be cloud native
Guide different engineering teams in refactoring and modernizing applications be to be microservices based cloud native capabilities
Define strategy for modernizing data components e.g. Stored procedures, Batch Jobs, Data Archival and Ingestion of data into the Data Lake in AWS Cloud
Create, author, and edit architecture documents, design documents, data flow diagrams, and system Run Books, and drive reviews for these deliverables as well as development work products, jobs/pipelines and mappings.
Drive data analysis and modeling efforts and assist in the architecture, design and development of overall data foundation architecture.
Define systems model for developing Data replication/ migration Pipelines and define the overall modernization strategy from DB2 to AWS Cloud
Cloud migration assessment & architecture using Snowflake, Snowpipe, AWS S3, RDS, Aurora, Lambda, Step Functions, Cloud Watch, Tableau
Define best practices for data structure and elements in Cloud guidelines on usage of element types such as Set, Map, guideline on setting Keys, List; configuration etc.
Develop sample codes and accelerators for standardizing and expediting the engineering teams' development efforts

Experience

Should have experience defining architectural designs and solutions for modernizing legacy data layer to be cloud native
Experience with defining ETL data pipelines to automate data movement from on-premises to the cloud
Experience with Data Modelling for highly available applications especially utilizing NO-SQL data-stores
Experience with legacy technology platforms especially Mainframe DB2
Understanding of domain driven design concept for defining bounded context and data layer as per Microservices based Architecture
