Design Coordinator

Nesco Resource is seeking qualified candidates for a Design Coordinator role for a major construction infrastructure client in Detroit, MI. This is a direct-hire opportunity!

Salary: 90 to 94k
The ideal candidate will be well versed in multi-design disciplines (i.e.,bridges,structures,roadways, traffic control,drainage, paving and utilities
MDOT background highly preferred
Infrastructure highly preferred

Role / Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule meetings internal to project and with client and key stakeholders including maintaining project schedules throughout the design process to help prioritize design changes and forecast for construction
• Oversee design progress against schedule and budget and coordinate design reviews with the construction team to optimize the design
• Responsible for managing the design package submittals to the client and compile responses to design review comments
• Administer design subcontract including processing monthly invoices for payment
• Perform constructive reviews conforming design to prime contract requirements and proposal commitments
• Work with construction team to identify and resolve field design issues
• Expedite responses from the Engineer of Record related to shop drawing reviews, request for information, specification changes, ect.
