Position Summary

The HR Operations Manager at Independent Food Company will oversee and optimize the day-to-day HR processes, ensuring smooth execution of policies, procedures, and HR services. This role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, compliance, and employee satisfaction across the company’s diverse portfolio of restaurant brands. The HR Operations Manager will collaborate with various departments to enhance workforce management and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with Saudi labor laws.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations Management

  • Manage and oversee core HR functions, including payroll, employee records, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR processes to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely employee data entry and reporting within HR systems.

2. Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address employee grievances and provide solutions in line with company policies.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.

3. Compliance and Policy Implementation

  • Ensure HR practices comply with Saudi labor laws and company policies.
  • Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure relevance and alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate with legal advisors to address employment law matters.

4. Performance Management and Training

  • Support managers in the performance appraisal process, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Work with Learning and Development teams to identify training needs and develop employee skillsets.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.

5. Reporting and Analytics

  • Prepare and present HR reports, including headcount, turnover, and compliance metrics, to leadership.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of employee records in the HR information system (HRIS).

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the HR operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor the performance of team members to achieve department goals.

Key Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi labor laws and HR best practices.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other HRIS) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is required.
