DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Player Development department is dedicated to fostering the comprehensive growth of our minor league players. Our mission is to excel in optimizing talent and skill development while aligning with player and team objectives. Our approach involves the creation of world class player programs and efficiently scaling them across our player pool. Collaborating closely with baseball analytics, performance, and medical, we establish effective frameworks for experimentation and learning. Additionally, we work closely with Amateur Scouting, International Scouting, and Pro Scouting to ensure seamless player transitions into the Red Sox organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Complex Coordinator/FCL Manager will serve a leadership and development role in the Boston Red Sox Player Development Department and is primarily responsible for coordinating the field operations at the Boston Red Sox Player Development Complex in Fort Myers, FL. The candidate will also serve as the Florida Complex League manager and instruct/develop in the Defense & Baserunning Department. This includes, but is not limited to, year-round coordination of daily schedules under the direction of the Field Coordinator.
This role is critical to the successful functioning of our Player Development Complex, which is one of the key components of our organization. By ensuring smooth operations and fostering a collaborative environment, the Complex Coordinator/FCL Manager will directly contribute to the development of our Minor League talent pipeline and the overall success of our Major League team.
This position is based full time in Fort Myers, FL. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish) and will have experience as a Minor League Manager, Minor League Coordinator, or College Head Coach. The candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to lead and motivate a team, foster a collaborative environment, and communicate effectively across departments and with players of diverse backgrounds.
