TEAM
Woven by Toyota’s AD/ADAS organization is developing algorithms for next-generation autonomy and ADAS active safety systems, using data-driven approaches and efficient architecture. We are looking for a systems-minded engineer with experience in AD/ADAS to apply algorithms for motion planning by using information from sensors or maps. You will be excited to develop world-class autonomy features and passionate about improving the lives of millions through safety and mobility.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
As a Motion Planning Engineer, you are a technical expert in at least one area below:
- Path planning by using sensors or map information
- Vehicle motion control (longitudinal and lateral)
- Data-driven planning using machine learning
Those with experience implementing these technologies into ADAS systems, robotics, and automated driving are very welcome.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with teams such as Perception, Control, Simulation, Infrastructure, and Tooling to build unified solutions and realize safer and more secure system-level functionality and performance for AD/ADAS.
- Develop features such as lanekeeping, speed management, lane change, lane planning, and others
- Understand and fulfill the software practices that produce maintainable code, including simulation, continuous integration, code review, HIL testing, and in-vehicle testing
- You will be part of team which handles advanced research to product development
- You will come to the office 3 days per week per our hybrid work policy, and report to the planning system engineering manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Computer science, Mechanical engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in path planning, vehicle control or ADAS
- 1+ years with C / C++ and familiarity with Python or other programming languages
- Working proficiency in English (verbal and written)
NICE TO HAVES:
- Knowledge of embedded software implementation, vehicle dynamics
- Experience in data-driven development
- Product development for production AD/ADAS
- Knowledge of control engineering (PID, LQR, MPC)
- Experience in HD maps
- Experience using Agile software management tools
