Purpose Statement

Due to continued growth, sa.global is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Insights Technical Lead to join our UK team. In this role, you will collaborate with global clients to deliver comprehensive insights solutions utilizing the Microsoft stack. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of these solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.

Position Overview

This role will report directly to the Global Insights Practice Lead and will have no direct reports. Whilst the position has no direct reports, the person who takes up this role will be expected to work with the Global Insights team and help up skill and mentor junior members of the team.

The location of this role is the United Kingdom. Normal working hours apply to this role (9am to 5.30pm), however due to working with global clients, there may be times where you to work outside of our usual working hours.

Areas of Responsibility

• Designing and implementing integration and technical solutions to extract, connect and cleanse data from multiple systems, thereby creating a single source of truth.
• Collaborating with clients to ensure the solution aligns with their requirements, while optimising the solution for scalability and future growth.
• Work with developers across various regions to ensure client requirements are met, while providing necessary support and guidance.
• Feed into the global insight direction to ensure the team is keeping up with latest technologies and ensure processes are efficient and being followed.
• Mentor and influence team members to encourage best practices and personal growth.

Skills and Experience

Required:

• Strong knowledge of SQL, SQL database design and data warehousing concepts within a SQL DB or Synapse Workspace.
• Understanding of ETL Processes and tools to integrate data from various sources using tools such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
• Problem-Solving with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Excellent communication skills in order to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
• Strong mentoring skills to support the development of the Insight team.

Desired:

• Proficient in Microsoft Power BI tools including Power BI and Fabric and an understanding of DAX.
• Ability to create and manage data models.
• Understanding of report design user journey.
• Ability to manage a project with solid organisational skills.

Travel

Some UK travel with possible overnights stays are expected. On rare occasions international travel may be required.
