The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Data Centre and Cloud Operations to join our IT team for 15 months.
Reporting to the VP, IT Operations & Support, the Senior Manager, Data Centre and Cloud Operations is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and documentation for all cloud-oriented solutions across the enterprise. In your new position you will provide expertise and support the development and maintenance of the enterprise cloud platform. You will collaborate with application owners within the various operating groups, enterprise architects, software vendors and internal & external teams to facilitate discovery of requirements for cloud solutions and the development of solution design. This position is also responsible for the design, development, and administration of cloud solutions.

What your day looks like:
- Participate in architecting Secure Cloud Solutions: Design scalable cloud architectures leveraging infrastructure-as-code and robust disaster recovery practices and services to support our clients' business operation
- Manage the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, security and ongoing support of hybrid environment located in private and public clouds and CoLo facilities
- Cloud Migration Expertise: Strategize and execute the migration of on-premises systems to the cloud
- Executes & Manage Daily Cloud Support Operational activities, including: Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Crisis Management & Disaster Recovery across multiple technologies & teams to deliver high quality & stable services
- Provides regular governance, optimization and compliance recommendations and audits for workloads and services running in the cloud
- Design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Technology Services project management policies, procedures and best practices
- Run technology projects, including working with multiple vendors and company resource to deliver projects on-time and within budget
- Provide input into strategic applications plans and help drive alignment with application teams, security, business and systems teams
- Responsible for relationships with major cloud technology suppliers (ex: AWS, Azure, Google) to continuously work with and increase the business value of products and services received
- Automate and streamline infrastructure tasks using programming (Python, Bash, etc.), IaC tools (Terraform preferred), and CI/CD pipelines
- Drive Operational Excellence: Proactively enhance monitoring, optimize performance, implement logging/alerting, and lead cost-saving initiatives
- Oversee infrastructure operational environment and system availability for Microsoft Exchange, O365, Windows Server OS, Active Directory Virtualization
- Raise the level of cloud knowledge in the organization and capture and disseminate best practices through a knowledge base, source code repository, training events and outreach throughout the organization
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud and on-premise environments, with a strong focus on solution design, migration, implementation, maintenance and security. Proven track record of technical leadership and project management
- Deep experience with Azure Cloud Computing platform
- Knowledge in design and deployment of DevOps, Big Data, and API management platforms in a cloud environment
- Advanced understanding of cybersecurity practices, network security protocols, and compliance requirements. Experience with implementing security measures to protect data and infrastructure
- Experience in migrating on-prem workloads to cloud (AWS/AZURE)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies (VPC, Route53, ELB, EBS, S3, Cloud watch, Cloud Formation, IAM, KMS, etc.)
- Understanding of cloud best practices and processes
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Advanced certifications in networking and infrastructure, such as CCNP, CCIE, or Azure Solutions Architect, are highly advantageous
- Understanding of network principles, authentication protocols, SAML-based and OAuth 2 authentications
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $110,000 - $145,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
