Workdays & Hours: This position offers a 5-day work week. Shift hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday and working different shifts for shift coverage.

A Journeyman Electrician Service Technician II job is available with The City of Fort Worth Property Management Department in the Facilities Division. The City of Fort Worth Property Management Department, Facilities Division, provides City Departments with world class facility planning, design, construction, renovation and maintenance service.
The Division is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician Service Technician II. The selected candidate must have the ability to utilize appropriate tools in performing electrical duties, read and interpret blueprints and drawings, understand and apply electrical codes, follow written and verbal instructions, work in confined spaces, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work at considerable heights, climb and work from ladders and scaffolding. requires an individual that can provide multi-task repairs in plumbing, mechanical, and miscellaneous task when not working on an Electrical projects or task.
The Facilities Division maintains over 300 facilities throughout the City of Fort Worth. This position will be for the New City Hall Class A high rise facility.

Working Conditions
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, chemicals, oils and workspace restrictions.
Physical Demands:
Heavy Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. The position will require candidates to work from considerable heights and in confined spaces.
Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
