Pay Range: $63,041.00 - $81,953.00 annual compensation.

Workdays & Hours: FLSA Exempt position. Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm; some evening/weekend work required. Hybrid on-site work model available with supervisory approval; management staff required to be on-site at least 3 days per week.

A Sr. Contract Compliance Specialist position is available with the City of Fort Worth IT Solutions IT Finance Division. The department is seeking to fill a Sr. Contract Compliance Specialist position to perform a variety of critical financial support duties related to the development, reviewing, and execution of technology contracts. This position will process contracts for all city departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as development, review and execution of contracts and legal agreements.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.
  • Candidate selected for hire must pass a Criminal Background Check for CJIS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong excel proficiency to perform account reconciliation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of government procurement policies.
  • Experienced with PeopleSoft knowledge/skills.

The Sr. Contract Compliance Specialist’s job responsibilities include:

  • Identify, propose and develop legal agreements to advance technological programs and initiatives provided through IT Solutions.
  • Works with Law department in leading and overseeing the development and improvement of agreements; and assists in policy and procedure development and improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison with senior managers to structure legal agreements, fulfilling their technological requirements within the framework of the City’s Purchasing guidelines.
  • Serve as a conduit between the various partnering departments to successfully execute all technology-related contracts.
  • Assists in development and management of contract tracking database and related information; and assists in improvement, restructuring and maintenance of contract filing system.
  • Authors Mayor and Council Communications seeking authorization for contracts and other technology-related agreements.

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.

Physical Demand

Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Background Check

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.  Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position:  Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
