The Facilities Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance, operations, and repairs of Facility systems at Skywalker. The Supervisor coordinates the team, and performs hands-on daily maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, elevators, pumps, generators, and lighting throughout Skywalker Ranch and Summit Skywalker Ranch. 
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Team Coordination 
- Supervises the team of Facilities Engineers, Carpenters, and technicians, and outside contractors 
 
- Coordinates preventative maintenance and distribution of workload. 
 
Daily Property Maintenance 
- Performs emergency repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, generators, UPS systems, fire pumps, sump pumps, etc. 
 
- Completes small hands-on special projects related to building maintenance for HVAC, pumps, plumbing, UPS systems, elevators, furnishings, and lighting systems both inside and outside. 
 
- Repairs lighting systems throughout all buildings and grounds, and monitors, adjusts building automation schedules weekly for maximum efficiency. 
 
Regulatory & Safety 
- Tracks required safety training, and provides equipment needed for safety compliance 
 
- Completes building equipment inspections quarterly and submits written conclusions to the Senior manager. 
 
- Coordinates compliance for all hazmat, water systems, elevators, gas island 
 
- Coordinates work to be OSHA compliant per company policy 
 
Administration 
- Organizes event coverages for cross-team excellence and holistic budget and systems wellness. 
 
- Compiles quotes from vendors for material purchases. 
 
Ad Hoc Support 
- Provide after-hours emergency support in response to facilities department related issues as needed.  
 
- Provides labor support to Ranch Service and event set-ups. 
 
- Provides after hours support as needed, works with other department and division supervisors and managers as needed. 
 
Requirements
Education / Experience: 
- High School diploma or equivalent.  
 
- 5 years of formal training or equivalent in operations engineering. 
 
- 5 years’ experience in Building Engineering/Maintenance. 
 
 
Required Skills / Competencies: 
- Ability to supervise a team with positivity and clear communication 
 
- Ability to prioritize, delegate and report progress 
 
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
 
- Proven ability to interact effectively within a department and outside the organization 
 
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record. 
 
- Ability to perform data entry and work with facilities related software. 
 
 - Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.  
  - Ability to work on computer up to 50% of day
  - Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, walk throughout the day
  
 
Preferred Skills / Competencies: 
- CFC license for handling refrigerants. 
 
 
 
Technical Skills: 
BMS, PMS, Microsoft Office, training systems
