Junior Maintenance Mechanic

ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Junior Maintenance Mechanic located in Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair all mechanical equipment within the Airport and grounds to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

Responsibilities:

Work shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following:

• Perform shift tours, inspections and log readings/ reports
• Complete preventative maintenance work orders
• Relamping
• Start up and shut down of equipment
• Filter changing & belt changing
• Perform minor building repairs
• Dry fire system maintenance
• Washroom inspections and repairs including clearing of plumbing blockages
• Respond to emergency trouble calls of a mechanical nature, and support other staff in their tasks
• o All other maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience in the maintenance of basic mechanical building systems
• Hold a valid class G driving license
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required with ability to follow instructions both written and verbal
• Maintain a professional demeanour at all times with fellow employees and customer
