Job Overview:
The Email Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Senior Email Marketing Manager to execute email campaigns that enhance customer engagement, drive retention, and contribute to our overall marketing strategy. This role requires a mix of creative and technical skills to develop engaging content and manage effective email initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Email Campaign Execution:
Execute email campaigns from conceptualization through to analysis. This includes designing emails, managing sends, and reporting on results.
Implement and optimize lifecycle trigger automations and ad-hoc promotional campaigns.
Collaborate with Sr. Email Marketing Manager, copywriters and designers to develop compelling content that aligns with Viator’s branding and campaign objectives.
Occasionally write ad copy and design email layouts directly, particularly when specialized resources are unavailable.
Performance Optimization:
Conduct A/B testing to refine email strategy and improve engagement metrics.
Analyze campaign performance and generate regular reports to track effectiveness and ROI.
Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
Identify and resolve issues related to email delivery and campaign performance.
Troubleshoot technical issues within the email tech stack, including problems with marketing automation software and integration issues.
Work closely with technical teams to ensure the email marketing tools and systems are functioning optimally.
Collaboration and Support:
Work cross-functionally with the email manager, product, product marketing, and sales teams to translate business goals into successful email campaigns.
Assist in managing the segmentation of audiences and ensure emails are targeted to user behaviors and preferences.
Technical and Compliance Expertise:
Ensure all email campaigns comply with current laws and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
Utilize Marketo for campaign management, adhering to best practices in email marketing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in email marketing, ideally within a B2B environment.
Proficient in using email marketing platforms like Marketo.
Strong writing and graphic design skills.
Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with velocity scripting are advantageous.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
A strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
