Trade Relations Business Analyst

Job Purpose:

Shields is looking to add a Trade Relations Business Analyst to supplement its growing business development team. We are looking for a self-starter and highly motivated individual to assist in operational support and analysis within the business development organization. This will be a very hands-on and analytical role.

 

Job Duties:

· Work directly with the business development and senior leadership team to execute on key new business priorities

o Support the execution of new business and strategic initiatives

o Lead and own the creation of detailed analysis and financial models for new clients and business opportunities

o Lead and own the creation of strategic business development presentations and proposals

o Work directly with senior leadership on contracting and new business priorities

o Perform comprehensive and in-depth competitor, new business, and industry research

o Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the leadership team to facilitate efficient decision making

o Assist account managers with QBR templates and historical data pulls

· Track current and potential new business opportunities and maintain internal databases

· Work with cross-functional teams to provide client solutions

· Act as key member of the in-house strategy team to drive new business opportunities

· Lead wholesaler account auditing and maintain a database of current access

· Other duties as assigned within scope of practice

 

Experience/Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· 1-3 years of experience working in an analytically intensive field (investment banking, management consulting, corporate development) or business development operations experience preferred

· Pharmacy technician or background in pharmacy preferred

· Healthcare experience or passion for the industry

· Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly

· Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment

· Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required

· Experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce

· Analytically oriented person who makes and defends decisions based on hard data

· Hard worker and self-starter who is able to work independently, with limited oversight from managers

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

· Enthusiastic and service-oriented

· Professionals will likely travel 10% of their time, meeting with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists and clinical staff if necessary
