Tax Analyst IV

• The Client’s SEO team is currently looking for a CPA or Enrolled Agent with outstanding writing, editing, and communications skills to join the SEO team as the TurboTax SEO Tax Expert Writer contractor.
• This person will be responsible for extending tax expertise across TurboTax.com.
• TurboTax creates tax tip content to inform and empower TurboTax customers and prospects on and offsite.
• The right candidate has strong tax expertise, actively keeps up with the latest tax law changes and trends and is able to translate complex tax code into simple language.
• This person is a self-starter with the ability to work under tight deadlines and a strong collaborator with a passion for helping taxpayers get their tax questions answered in an easy-to-understand format.
• Day to day responsibilities include creating, writing, and editing tax content, reviewing infographics and video content for tax accuracy.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with an exceptional ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, and multi-dimensional team-oriented environment.
• You will work with a team of passionate world class marketers who are focused on delivering an exceptional experience for customers and strong results for our business in a high-performing environment.

• Current CPA or Enrolled Agent credentials
• Strong personal/business tax expertise and current on new tax laws and trends a must, and the ability to research and break down complex tax topics into easily understandable concepts.
• Ability to translate complex topics into easy-to-understand written language for consumers.
• Journalism or related degree or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work well under tight deadlines, and high pressure.
• Strong collaboration skills
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a plus
• Experience with WordPress a plus
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with different teams and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a drive to help teams deliver a great experience and results.
• Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual a plus

• Partner with the TurboTax SEO team to create and write new tax accurate tax article content based off of content gaps, tax law changes, or trending tax topics on TurboTax.com.
• Major and minor rewrites and refreshes of existing tax article content to update for tax law changes, re-optimize for search engines, or improving the readability of the content.
• Collaborate closely with Content Editor to follow an editorial calendar for new and refreshed content review schedule and ensure work is delivered on time.
• Work closely with CPA and content editor to ensure new and refreshed content are accurate to tax law and follow TurboTax’s brand voice and tone.
• Supporting review of other content types (articles, blurbs, videos, infographics, images, podcasts) for tax accuracy.
