PlayStation Studios is the game development division of Sony PlayStation and is responsible for developing some of the most recognisable and ambitious console games and franchises on PlayStation, including The Last of Us, Horizon, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, and Gran Turismo.
We work with some of the best game studios in the world and use data to help them make their games even better. We provide end-to-end analytics services for PlayStation Studios and use data to help them in the game development lifecycle. We are looking for talented people to join us in pushing the boundaries of game analytics for PlayStation games.
As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll be a key player in our cross-disciplinary engineering team, building tooling that supports our data platform. This includes tools such as a data management tool, integrated analytics dashboards, map analytics, and debugging tools. You will focus on developing tools that game studios frequently use, ensuring they are functional, user-friendly, and efficient. You should have a passion for video games and a background in modern web frameworks like React or Vue. Our existing applications are built with Ember.js, but knowledge is not required as you will be given the opportunity to learn Ember.js and bring forward options to migrate these tools where suitable.
In your first six months, you will be empowered to help us make important decisions for the future of our tools and frameworks. You’ll work on new features and build frontend solutions to support data management and analytics. You will be a key decision-maker in the direction of the products you will work on and will collaborate closely with game studios, QA, live service teams, and other game analytics team members to collect requirements and define the roadmap.
We’d love to hear from you if:
You have experience with modern web frameworks such as React, Vue or Ember.js
You are skilled in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
You are comfortable exploring API services, built with Go or Python, and extending them
You have experience in transforming business needs into technical requirements and solutions
You’re excited by creating tools that improve user experience and functionality
You’re committed to quality as a top priority, and have an interest in repeatable, testable, and efficient frontend development
You’re looking for a fun, dynamic environment to take on new challenges
