As a Middle Office Loan Support Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing closing administration and/or construction draw administration employees with the day-to-day operations of the loan products supported for Commercial Banking Middle Office. Oversee the administration of various closing administration activities such as: collection and review of due diligence documentation, loan documentation review entity documents, title policy, insurance, flood, and approval, coordination of closing with multiple funding sources, review of invoices and on-going loan file and maintenance and data input for accurate loan boarding and uploading, all in accordance with credit and compliance policies and procedures.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Oversee daily operations of the Middle Office support staff in addition to the dotted line responsibility to CBC support in order to meet the closing, funding time frames.
- Oversee hiring, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and training for the middle office loan specialists and support staff.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with internal audit and control procedures at all times.
- Responsible for working with the core operating system team (ie Jack Henry) and document repository system (ie Onbase/Capitalstream) in order to maximize functionality, as well as to provide input for future enhancements, upgrades, training or issues.
- Responsible for complying with, and ensuring staff follows, policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
- May be responsible for participating in required training for team members on aspects of loan documentation including the use of Capitalstream, other required applications, or pertinent compliance laws and regulations as required by Banner Bank.
- Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations.
- May be cross trained in other middle office functions for backup purposes. Back up for Middle Office Director as needed
Education & Certifications
- H.S. Diploma: required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Bachelor's Degree: Business/Management or other related field preferred (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
Experience
- 6 or more years of related loan servicing/loan administration experience required
- 5 years of supervisory experience managing a department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of commercial loan documentation.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with frequent changes in priorities and an emphasis on customer service and teamwork. Ability to schedule, train, and oversee a multi-task staff and manage time sensitive projects to conclusion.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate and loan closing, maintenance of the IT system of record, and consumer protection/compliance issues relative to commercial lending.
- Possess strong organizational, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, set priorities and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, loan origination systems and other programs needed to support commercial banking. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial lending.
Compensation & Benefits
- Targeted starting compensation range is based on location and experience: $$77,606- $91,301
- Incentive and commission compensation may be awarded for eligible roles
