We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Intake Specialist to join our workers' compensation team. You will be responsible for handling the initial contact with injured workers, collecting and verifying their information and documentation, and ensuring that they receive the best possible service and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls and emails from injured workers and their employers
  • Conduct initial intake interviews and assessments to gather relevant information about the workers’ injuries, medical history, and employment status
  • Request and obtain necessary documentation and authorization from workers, employers, and insurance carriers
  • Coordinate and schedule medical appointments and evaluations for workers
  • Assist workers with completing and submitting claim forms and other paperwork
  • Provide workers with information and guidance on the workers compensation process and benefits
  • Follow up with workers, employers, and insurance carriers to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all intake activities and communications in the company’s database
  • Work collaboratively with the workers compensation team and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient service delivery

Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intake, customer service, or a related field
    • Workers' compensation is a must for this role
    • Knowledge of workers compensation laws, regulations, and procedures
    • Superior level of language proficiency both in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
    • Ability to empathize with and support injured workers
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional competencies.
    • Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of clients and the Firm.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software
    • Own a Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above & Microsoft Office) with an internet connection of at least 10 Mbps
    • Willing to work on the Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule
