FINANCE

Rocket Lab’s Finance team is responsible for all financial transactions for the company, operating as a well-oiled machine to maximize the value of our work. Our Finance team are made up of planners, analysts and accountants, and manage our policies, compliance, and reporting. They’re the ones who keep our financial operations in check, always thinking ahead and taking care to meet all of our financial, business, and government obligations. They’re attentive, diligent, and meticulous, and are mission-critical to Rocket Lab.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the quality and timely completion of financial accounting, statutory reporting and taxation deliverables for Rocket Lab, whilst continuously identify improvements in processes and provide insights on reported information. This role requires interactions with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CA, CPA or member of equivalent professional accounting body
  • Solid month-end accounting and reporting experience in a medium-large organisation
  • Demontrate ability to work to deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability in order to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in systems knowledge and experience in using ERP systems
  • Attention to detail and an effective communicator
  • Working knowledge of NZ IFRS
  • Understanding of good internal controls with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills 

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Working experience in NZ taxation
  • Experience in a multinational environment
