PMO Coordinator

Airband is seeking an experienced PMO Coordinator to join our expanding business.

We are a family run Internet Service Provider bringing broadband to rural areas through a mixture of technologies. Having secured several £multimillion projects, and with the view of acquiring more we need a PMO Coordinator on a permanent basis to support the PMO Manager and project teams to deliver and drive company KPI’s.

The primary responsibility of the PMO Coordinator role will be to provide project support and assist in the successful delivery of projects by coordinating specific activities which could include but not be limited to, document management, planning, risk and status reporting as well as the ability to identify opportunities for change.

Knowledge of project management tools and methodology as well as excellent organisational skills are fundamental, as is the ability to liaise with people at all levels. In Airband’s fast paced environment, agility and creativity is key.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will provide support to project teams ensuring portfolio activity is accurately captured and reported.
  • You will work closely with project and functional managers to deliver outcomes successfully, monitoring risks and interdependencies, as well as highlighting opportunities.
  • Organise and facilitate project control boards and project deep dives to ensure governance arrangements and KPI’s are met.
  • Create information dashboards to improve programme operational performance.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of project reports on project/portfolio status, risk management, timelines, and budgets.
  • Participate in the collation and maintenance of forward forecast and actual tracking to meet Airband’s KPI’s.
  • Manage comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Provide training and support to project managers and teams on new company systems and processes.
  • Documentation of all key decisions and assumptions.
  • Analyse program & project data, including project schedules, risks and resource allocation.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year PMO coordinator or project support role experience.
  • Experience of working within a portfolio setting and the ability to work at pace in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Great communicator with the ability to effectively liaise at all levels within the business.
  • Possess the knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change to others.
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of project methodology, tools, and techniques
